Cup Match Today v Samba

Bad luck lads.....we were beaten by a better team today! Shame it was in the cup, but that is the sort of game we will have to get used to playing when we move up a couple of leagues which will happen next season.

In the first half we competed very well in all departments but just couldn't get that important 2nd goal after an early strike from Joe, Samba then stepped up their game and we dropped off our high level of play that we showed in the first half and they scored a scrappy goalmouth scramble to level the game. Samba's second goal was probably the best goal I've seen anywhere up to the under 18's....a fantastic corner and a great run from outside the box to head the ball which nearly broke the back of the net!

We were really under the cosh after the second Samba goal and struggled to get the ball forward apart from a couple of small chances.

All that aside, it was a great game of football with some excellent passages of play....man of the match this week goes to Ben who made some fantastic saves and interceptions in and out of the box.

We can put this behind us with a win next Saturday in our friendly against Willen.

See you for training on Tuesday.

Don't forget that it is our bar night next Friday 12th....can anyone help???

Richard
